have looked at this william cashmore gun;
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1094087646am not familiar with the action, it appears to use a sliding c-bolt third fastener - similar in concept with the westley richards top lock, but not quite the same.
can anyone give me some background on this? gun has been reproofed, but lacks the crown over R that normally is seen. seller posted a couple pictures of the barrel flats at my request, and you can see remnants of earlier proofs; 13/1, and MAXM on both sides. that would put original during 1896 - 1905 era...based on my searching it seems the gun would likely have been made in the late 1890's.
any thoughts?
