Ive been shooting 2-3/4 "low pressure" handloads in short chambers for 20 years. 12ga. < 7000psi and 20ga at or < 7500psi. Loads are 1100-1150fps. All were/are Ithaca Flues and Crass guns. 1 Flues 20 and 1 Crass 12 were damascus. I have never had ANY issues with feathering cases and all killed just fine. The 20ga load with 800x is dirty though. YMMV.
