Hello
I have a Drilling by Aug. Jung circa 1936 that is 16x16 over 8x57 and shoots far to the left. One must sight about 3/8 in. left of the front bead to get it to shoot to poa at 25 yds. The barrels are free of dents and pits and appear to be unbent. The rifle shoots to poa with the sight in the center of the rib. The bore is .667 in. and the left barrel constriction is .040 in. (xtra full). The right barrel constriction is .034 in. (full). I am shooting Remington game loads with 1 Oz. of shot.
What can cause this problem and how can it be corrected? I discussed this issue with Briley's and they said that they don't work on drillings because too many things can
cause off shooting.
Regards

try some different loads, different velocities and shot weight.

A 1936 Drilling is not likely to have 70mm chambers, unless rechambered, and if so, should have been reproofed. Smart money is on it still having 65mm chambers. Try shooting a Brenneke over the rifle sights at about 40 meters and see what happens.
