The Nitro Special uses the Single Non-Selective trigger AFAIK.
It's the same SNS mechanism as that used in the Ithaca NID.

It works off of the right hammer. A slide contacts the right hammer. In the cocked position the hammer is back, so the slide is pushed to the rear as well.
That slide is what allows contact betw the single trigger and either of the sear arms.
An open window or slot in the slide is what allows the slide to be pushed upward and miss the Left sear but contact the Rt sear arm but on the first trigger pull.

The right hammer falls upon firing and the slide follows it forward due to a simple spring.

Now that open wind on the slide that was positioned over the left sear arm is forward of that position and a solid portion of the slide is instead positioned under the left sear arm.
A second pull of the trigger then lifts and fires the left sear/hammer.

I think I have a N/Spec w/ sns trigger somewhere. I can locate it and pull the stock for some pics if this will help.

Maybe it's a Single Selective Trigger you are interested in instead,,,,then it's a Miller trigger you want I believe.
Don't have one of those around anymore.
