Please post some pictures and description with serial # so Ken Georgi can add it to the data base. Does it have "HAL" over crossed pistols on the barrels just ahead of the flats? Ken will probably correct me but I would think your gun was built in the 1896-1897 range if it has the "HAL" and crossed pistols.

Jon is two for two this morning. The period correct butt pad would be "genuine horn" according to the few catalogues that mention buttplate composition.
