Could someone please educate me on this gun. From what I understand, it is sort of a souped up Winchester 101 made in the '80s. Made in Japan (by whom)? Is it hand checkered ? Hand engraved? Reliable? Problems? Anything else you can tell me would be appreciated.

They were high grade Model 101s, made by Olin-Kodensha. They were hand checkered and engraved. All had Extra Fancy American Walnut stocks and Schnabel forearms.

The G.E. Featherweight was made in 20 gauge. They have straight grip stocks with cast off for a right hand shooter. Barrels are 25 1/2", choked IC/M. They were Special Editions with limited availability.

The G.E. Skeet guns were made in 12 and 20, with pistol grip stocks, and 27" barrels, S/S. Rosewood butt plate.

The G.E. Trap, made in 12 only, Standard Trap or Monte Carlo stocks with pistol grip, 30" and 32" barrels, IM/F.

They are very good shotguns with few, if any, problems.
