I enjoy ballistix 99 posts, however his most recent posts just lock-up my computer! Could this result from a change in software being used to transmit pictures, advice please?
Same problem here, just the last few days.
Just me?
Not here. I'm running XP with broadband.
I'm running XP with broadband.
I'm running the same setup, with all the MS updates and patches. Using FireFox as my browser, but I'll go back and try the posts with IE.
Works fine on my laptop, but is a challenge for my Black Berry over the last few days.

No problem here. Apple, Firefox 4, and Wild Blue broadband.

Mine locked up and I didn't get to see all the pictures.
I just tried it with IE8. Seized up same as with the new version of FireFox.
Same problem here. I have XP. The pics eventually open up but only after locking up several times....
The same problem in Belgium, I can only open it after several attempts.

There were two Portrait pictures in there. I've taken those out as I believe it maybe have been the orientation of those that seemed to screw the forum up for some members...take another look please does it work for those now that had trouble?

Same problems here, at the other end of the globe. Less so lately.

I didn't have any problem before. I tried again, no problem.
I'm running FIOS 25up/25down, Win7 64 bit, IE 8.0, I7 920ghz 12gb ram with two ATI 1gb 5750 video cards in "crossfire" (parallel). If I had a problem, most of you would too.
Works fine for me. I've had no problem at all. Running windows 7 with Internet Explorer 8 :)on a Sony VAIO laptop.
I have no problem with Roy's pictures. WIE-8 and Windows XP/Home.
I am using an 4 year old computer with lots of lights and plugs n' stuff on it.
Best,
Mike
Mikey,
They're not like Brittney's. They don't get smarter as they get older.
Tony,
I have a fairly fast computer and an excellent internet connection and your photos still take a while to load. I right-clicked on one of them and viewed "Properties" it appears that you have your camera set at a very high resolution. Such a setting makes for beautiful photos that can be greatly enlarged, however the price you pay is huge files. I suggest you set your camera to a lower resolution and smaller photo size. You'll still get nice pictures, you just won't be able to enlarge them alot. Or you can adjust the photos size and resolution after you've taken them (I don't know how, just that it can be done).
Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable can add to what I've said since my knowledge is limited to similar hassles posting pictures of items for sale on eBay.
Steve
PS I posted this on the wrong thread earlier
Hi Steve,
I always restrict size to lower than 400k as these are too...so I'm not sure why these are kicking up. I can try the resolution but I'd be surprised if that was slowing people down...the PC doesn't have to render it that much.
Cheers

Balliststix999, Unfortunately problem remains. F.Y.I In the past I had no problem in down loading your earlier pictures, nor do I have problems with down loading picture on recent posts by others. Hope this can be sorted, Roy
Interesting...I just openned the Grant pix here at work and the pix are super huge at 4592 x 2576 or thereabouts. At home, they open at a very normal web friendly size.
Resized...please try again?!
