I restored a 10b SLE by Clabrough a while back and that had the same ejector system: basically a 'hold back' mechanism, similar to Boss and Coggies.
I searched for a suitable patent to attribute it to as the action was engraved 'Patent Ejector' but there was nothing I could find in the Claborough name. Finally I had to assume it was the same system as used by C&H in nearly all their guns as it is functionally identical.
The patent is
E Harrison’s no. 11550 of 1888.
From the pictures, I can't tell if the ejector "rods" are in a box on the barrels. If so, the Harrison ejector , with coil springs, might be related.
Later, Toby, I did not see your reference to the Harrison Pat. ejector when I wrote above. I think you are right.

There were a lot of provisional patents taken out that were never fully developed , fully patented or used . In some cases it was an improvement on an earlier patent or that the patient was never granted .
It was also a common practice as it is today to stamp or advertise as " someone s patent"or indeed mark as patent something that was not actually your patent but someone else's .For example "patent action" . but whose?
There were countless adaptations and variations to get around others designs by individual makers to avoid paying royalties .Most thankful disappeared when the original patents expired .
I have seen a couple a guns with similar ejectors to this example ,my impression was that they were weak in construction and under powered . That in mind they were for roll turn over paper cases .
Thanks gunman. No sign of any mention of patent or use number on this one. They don't toss the hulls as far as some of my others with ejectors, though they do work fine. The less I have to look to pick up my hulls the better.
