I found a 200 years old flintlock pistol for sale by a private person in UK. However he says he can't mail it to me to Slovenia (inside EU), as he would need an export licence. So what are the rules in such a transaction? Thank you.

With kind regards,
Jani

Jani, try this link provided by the West Midlands Police and e-mail the Department of Trade and Industry who are responsible for firearms export license issues. http://www.west-midlands.police.uk/help-advice/firearms-licensing/faqs-8.asp You may find you do not need one for an antique firearm but best to check with them to make sure.
