Another capture.

Must have been a pretty nice Daly!

Bro. Walt no doubt knows this, but John Boa was a big name shooter. Enter his name here

I find reference to a C. E. Dewitt, Morrow, Ohio in the book Hits and Misses of the Trapshooting and Skeet World. Cheaperthandirt has it in their library but I cant seem to get it to load... http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/Library/BookPage.aspx?bid=FW0005271&sid=880&pid=40

Larry, Grand American Handicap.
Grayg, very interesting! I too will try to find it., Thanks.

It took a long time to load, but, C.E Dewitt,Morrow, Ohio ,is mentioned as one of the three shooters who shot 95 at the 1914 Grand American.

Correction, in the book is "C.E Demitt, Morrow, Ohio" with a M not a W.

here he is shooting 95 again...

It appears Mr. Boa wasn't too badly done to by the Great Depression, getting a $433 shotgun in September 1931!!

I can't get it to load either. Do any of our posters know any more about that book?

Ithaca had to have loved the guy! I have a 1930 7E Knick that was handled thru Boa. The Depression happened fast and by 1930 most everyone was on vacuum.

From what I was able to get open it seems to be a year by year account of the winners and goings on at the Grand American.

The 1931 Sportsman Review list DeWitt's average for single targets as 0.859 and 0.8633 for doubles. I can not turn him up in Ancestory.com. He would have been using a SxS for doubles. The Daly he turned in or maybe his new Ithaca7E?

Did you try C.E. DeMitt?
