Good morning all. It's time to make a new recoil pad. Not long ago there was a thread that had to do with the method for installing "plug less" recoil pads using greased screws epoxied into the screw holes. For the life of me I cannot find it. Any one remember it? I appreciate the help.

I don't have a copy but I do have a method. Using a Kickezz pad with the tiny screw holes I place the screws in the pad and then cover it . I then pierce the leather over the screw holes and drive them with Brownells extra narrow Philips screw driver. The holes are barely noticeable and the shaft does not disturb the leather.

Isn't a Kickezz pad a little soft for leather covering?

I have been using this method for two years on guns that see a lot of use. That is not much history but I would tell you that the average gun that they are on uses 10 to 15000 shells per year.
