It is not too late to look into the gunsmithing summer courses offered at Trinidad State Junior College. Sorry I don't have a link, but Google TSJC/NRA classes if interested. Everything from stockmaking to Damascus barrel finishing to blueprinting a rifle action. One and two week classes.
