I wanted to give a thumbs up to Mark II for his seamless, single to double trigger conversion on one of my SKB 100 20 gauge guns!
The triggers are crisp, and the work performed was smooth and efficient!
This gun will be used much more frequently and I plan on having Mark II do the second gun soon!
The price was right and Mark II kept me informed all the way through the process.
Check it out

I can't comprehend the reasoning to expend the effort to do this conversion. Single triggers on the SKB are very reliable and convenient. I love the single triggers(Miller design on most) on my Ithaca doubles. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I'd prefer the gun with double triggers, too. If anyone has an S55 Beretta that they want to trade the double trigger unit for the single in my SIlver Snipe 12, let me know.

Best,
Ted

For Walt and others: I have no objection to single triggers per se, but despise the ones in the trigger blade like the SKB and the Win 21. I am left handed and find them very difficult to use if I need to change the barrel selection as I bring the gun up for a field shot, as all I have seen seem to be set up for the right barrel first for a right handed shooter. Other selector designs are much more user friendly, such as the Remington 3200, the Berettas, Ruger and early Miller selectors which are built into the safety.

Fred,
I also DT'ed my 100 a couple of months ago with Marks guidance. A worthwhile retro.

Enjoy,
Bill

Mark who and what is the cost? I love my SKB 100, but just accept it as having non-selectable triggers. I can switch triggers on a double trigger gun in mid shot, but wouldn't even try with a single trigger gun. DT is just more appropriate on SxS.

DR,

Mark II

Hope this helps.

The bad news is if the stock fit with the single trigger, it's now likely about a half inch too short. LOP is fixable though with an extension but then there will be a little more drop at face and heel.

Bill,
Marks II's thread with you was what got me here.
I shot it today for the first time, it still likes to eat targets and felt just right immediately... I didn't think/notice about shorter pull, but would rather that than longer LOP.

From the two pictures posted it would definitely appear to me the LOP would be lengthened a bit for the front trigger with a barely perceptible shortening to the rear trigger.

I think I had a brain fart. Yes, if the gun fit to the rear trigger in the first place it should be fine for LOP now a half inch longer to the front trigger. A rule of thumb is a 1/2 inch longer LOP on DT as compared to ST since LOP is traditionally measured from the front trigger.

Thank you for your comments Fred. I just returned from the shoot at Medford, great venue and great people. Walt, if I only have one trigger I tend to try to pull the trigger guard with little effect. Anyone interested please send a PM or email, 4rgunsmithing@gmail.com. Mark Robson aka MKII

Not really. The reach, which is more important in a case like this than the l.o.p., is still basically the same.
