Tom, there were three models of the Baker trap gun and each came in three grades. Made 1909-1919 by by Baker Gun and Forging Co. and maybe a few were finished up during the Folsom era that followed, probably from parts available.

The first and second models had vent ribs that were machined out of the same piece of steel as the barrel. The final model had a "floating" rib like most modern vent ribs.

You can see more Baker info by checking at the website listed below. Daryl

I have a Baker Trap gun, They made 3 grades,
Mine is a sterling the lowest grade. They made a fine gun.
Baker was bought out early. I am sure you can find out on the net.

Did you see this one at an auction?

I saw two yesterday at a local auction, but neither made reserve and went unsold.

One was an 'Elite', the other a 'Sterling'.

Also an A Grade double. None met reserve.
