Did anyone on here get it? Full disclosure: I had some bids in there.

Very curious as to the condition of the barrels and such...looked very unmolested and "used but not abused."

I can't make out that middle initial. Could this be Teddy Roosevelt's Churchill?

I do not think TR had a middle name.. and was a junior. His father's name was the same and was senior. His father was also referred to as " Thee" but as a nick name.

All I can say is, if it was Teddy's I should have stayed in longer...

I did NOT buy it. From looking at the pictures, it was a nice looking Churchill. It still has it's black powder proofs -- never nitro-proved. It has the EJC monogram on the bottom of the action, indicating Churchill's best work at the time. And it has a very unusual ejector mechanism that Churchill eventually quit making in favor of the usual Southgate ejectors.---Matt

Also looks like it had chopper lumps and intercepting safety sears - externally plain, but the quality was definitely there.
