Hi all, I've got a few guns that have oil finished stocks, and the sheen is wearing off or getting quite dull.

What I'd like to know what do you use to reclaim that nice shine on the wood without stripping the original finish?

Thanks!!!

Well, I like boiled linseed, beeswax, min. spirits, "barracks room" look. Maybe a bit of Simichrome (metal polish) on the rag to burnish things a bit. Not a chic bit of what's happnin now I fear.

Give them a good waxing with johnsons furniture paste wax or rub in a few drops of tung oil....better yet rub in a couple drops of tung a couple times; let it cure for a week; then put on the paste wax.................
