I was just reading Mr Snyder's great book on the history of the Ithaca Gun Company - great book.

in his interview with Sheldon Smith there is a reference to Ithaca's answer to the cross over stock- which Mr. Smith called the "one eyed" stock. He said that hundreds were made and they never received a complaint that they did not work for the shooter.

Does anyone have a good picture of a known to be factory done "one eyed" stock?

thank you - should have known you would have this some where

that is what i was picturing from the book's description

very different from the one on my Super Ten- so - I am right that this one was a one of adaptation

so it will become the pattern to restock this one

This is a 12 gauge C grade Lefever Arms Co. shotgun made for a right hand shooter using the left eye.

Why don't they break?...Geo

I am not so much afraid it will break as I am that it would slap me upside of the face something wicked. That's why I haven't shot it.

I'll bring it to the next Southern SxS. You can shoot it there.

if you mean the stock Bill, here is the sellers pic of the stock

obviously not the factory job pictured above

if you mean a better pic of the gun- check either the Parker short ten thread or the other vintage guns forum on the Fox board for an after hunt picture
