I picked up my RBL this afternoon and, if I had ordered 3X wood, I would be very happy. The buttstock is just that...3X. The forend is as straight grained as you will ever see..absolutely no figure...none.

Mechanically, the gun is perfect. I took it out and shot it at low gun skeet and broke a 24 and 23 and the gun felt great with very light recoil. I haven't had a chance yet to put a gauge on the single trigger. My guess is that the pulls are heavier than the advertised 4lbs, but, the gun feels and shoots great.

I'm not a patient man and I idea of sending my gun back, after this eternal wait for delivery, seemed worse than dealing with wood that is substantally inferior to what I expected and paid for.

I'm going out of town, but, when I return, I'll post pictures and you can be the judge.

They'll swap the wood out for you, I wouldn't worry. Easier to correct bad wood than a bad gun.
