Recently saw a little 22 rifle, looked like a toy, single shot 22 made bt J.C. Hamilton. Any info would be appreciated.

That is a really good site on the Hamiltons. You can also get information about them from "Boys Single Shot Rifles" by James Grant and "American Boys' Rifles 1890-1945" by Jim Perkins. The Perkins book contains many pictures of the factory and Hamilton family.

The Hamilton's were not known for their high quality. Their only pump was actually a piece of tin wrapped around a brass tube.
