Today I brought home a nice 1887 Stephen Grant & Sons bar action, sidelever hammer gun. It has just recently been sleeved to 31" and choked a tight 30 and 40 thousands by Johnsons in the UK.
I would like a vintage English case but finding one for a hammer gun with 31" barrels will be an issue.
Any ideas where to start looking?

try Holt's:

No need for an importer, they can ship directly to you on accessories. VAT is not applicable on exports as well.

I think for a class piece like the Grant you really need an oak & leather case. I looked at Holts forthcoming sale and the only case listed with suitable barrel length is Lot 3217. It would need refitted of course and the pink !! baize replaced.
Its a basic leather case and not what I would let a Grant side lever set foot in.
