NEED HELP WITH PROOF MARKS - 11/19/19 10:21 PM

This is a D. Leonard Pigeon gun from about 1894-96. Usually pigeon guns have more comprehensive marks. I'm trying to determine if this one is nitro proofed. Thanks for the help.

A typical Pigeon load of that era would have been 1 1/4 oz. 3 1/4 Drams Curtis & Harvey’s No. 4 T.S. with a pressure of about 8500 psi.
It was proved with "Proof House (Black) Powder" at about 11,000 psi. Had "E.C." Bulk Smokeless been used for proof, the proof pressure would have been about 18,000 psi.

The pressures in the graph were determined by crushers; add 10-14% for modern transducer numbers

I have a similarly marked old pigeon gun from the same era. Now nitro proofed. I found that the chamber length 2 3/4" was marked on the forend loop. Might be worth a look there just in case. That would be marked by the maker rather than the Proof House. Lagopus.….
