Looks for all the world like a 4/53. Pictures really don’t do it justice.

Ted

Thanks Ted. I don't think it has ejectors and it has a concave rib and a split bottom plate so I was thinking maybe Adarra model? The only reference I have is the Blue Book.

E-mail AyAfineguns with the serial number and Carmen will tell you what the gun is logged in their books.

Looks like a Number 3 to me. Here are some photos of one I sold.

I don't think they sent many to the U.S. market but three models were widely sold here in the U.K. The lowest price boxlock was the non-ejector 'Yeoman' model then the Number 3 which was a non-ejector then the Number 4 which was identical to the 3 but an ejector model. My guess is either a 3 or a 4 by the looks of it. Lagopus.....

Yes, a model 4.
4/53’s have upgraded wood.
Not seeing that here.

I can’t make out the wood from the pictures.

I would agree with Lagopus, if its a non ejector its a no3, ejector its a no4. The yeomans were only made in 12 and have a flat raised file cut rib and were not nearly so well put together. The No3, 4 were much better fitted.
