Who made a late 1890's SXS twist steel with a full turkey silhouette on the black butt plate?
Might I be so bold as to suggest photographs....digital are gold...of butt plate, rib, proof marks, barrel flats, action flats, etc....are a friend. Many thanks.
Gun not in my possession, so not an option.
I’d think the buttplate might have American origins, but there might be a chance that it’s not original to that particular arm.

Obviously made before the statement "That gun's a real turkey!" carries the same meaning it does today.
