Karl-Hauptmann-Triple-Barrel-Shotgun

.410, 3", 28.5" barrels, 6 pounds, 10 ounces.
Front trigger fires center barrel, rear trigger fires left, then right barrel.
It comes with a single trigger option which is non selective fire, in the same order.
Also made in a side plate version, with a trigger plate for the center barrel.
Wish it came with 30-32" barrels but weight might be 7.5 pounds.
The one pictured is only $89,500.00. On my to buy list after my next Powerball win.
Might need to buy a second one to lend to Stan if I visit him in dove season. wink

I saw an ad for that gun recently. It has a cool factor of 100 X.

Give Karl a buzz, get a couple lined up for us to try out. I'd like the double trigger version, plz.

I'll hem the doves up, and get Garden and Gun to send a writer out to cover the whole shebang.

Now for the difficult part ..........how do you want yours choked? whistle

Definitely a sweet looking gun, especially in .410.

Stan, you can not over think the chokes. I shoot full chokes in my Winchester Model 42. I am happy with them so full, full and full works for me. Maybe yours should be mod, full and full to see if it makes a difference. I just hope they are nit to muzzle heavy. I’d need to lift weight to build up my arm so I could swing it well.

It is a very cool looking gun and one which I suspect would be fun as heck to show up with as a guest in the dove field. Nobodies going to honestly say their grandfather had one just like it.

OK, I'll bite, how do you shoot the third barrel with a double trigger set up?

Get the dog then the gun or vice versa.

Front trigger fires the center barrel. Then the rear trigger fires the left barrel and then fires the right barrel. One version is a true side plate single trigger for the outside barrels and a trigger plate action for the middle barrel. The box lock version looks to be a hideously complex. Single trigger version fires all three barrels in a set order. Non selective firing order.

I have seen the Italian tri barrel but not that interested in them. The one I held was as dynamic as a fence post. It was a 12 to be fair. So maybe the .410 would be better. The ones sold by Holts auctions have gone for about retail.

A doggy with three balls, or a Kraut DrieLauf---good things come in 3's!! But the recoil pad as shown- pretty crappy fit IMO RWTF
