Just receive my CSMC Inverness last week. Fit and finish are good just waiting for a good day to run some rounds down range.

What’s strange is CSMC listed the gun I bought on Guns International for 6k more than I paid for it. GI# 101815077, csmc#27752. If you want to see pics of the gun.

Not sure of CSMC marketing strategy, listing guns that they already sold.

I’ll give a rundown on gun performance once I run it through it’s paces.

Curious to see the review. Please do a POI/POA test, I have heard differing opinions on barrel regulation for these and would like to hear a real test.

I have an early one. I pattern for barrel regulation on all my guns and it is perfect. Mine is a 30" version and although I dislike this phrase "it is a wand in my hands" it is! I would buy another one in a minute.

Nice gun and purchase price. But this is a great example of how CSMC trolls for mullets with their pricing on these guns and others in their line. The RBL and A10 are played this way as well, but the A10 horribly so. Unbelievable pricing for A10's that aren't selling. But you "done good" with your deal.

Can we buy any of Tony's CSMC guns for thousands less than the asking price? For a six thousand dollar discount, I may find something I like.

I talked with Shane over the phone at CSMC. Nice gentlemen to talk with and was very easy to deal with. There-initial price list on a select few ranged from a list price between $14-$11k. Down to $5-4k

Figured price was reasonable (IMO) to make an offer and purchase. I am very happy with my RBL. POI/POA. Rt BL shots pretty flat at 60/40, left is the reverse 40/60 and just a tad RT by my best guess maybe 10% with 90% on center

I’ll see what the Inverness prints and repot back. I’ll run some RST, Fed GC and GM, Win AAs, and Rem. All 7/8 oz target loads 8s and 7.1/2 shot.

I’ve been watching an overpriced A10 that’s been for sale for an eternity. The price was changed recently to “Make Offer”. I just can’t convince myself to do so.

All they can do is say no, Ken. Just be prepared to step up if they accept your offer. Let's just say it's $10k. Offer $4500 and see what happens.

Very nice! Looks just like a Rizzini Round Body. Is there a connection? I know CSMC was the Rizzini rep in the US for awhile.

All CSMC o/u's are Rizzini clones except the A10, some odd target model, and their $$ Boss copy.

Action yes, but the mid/side rib look kind of cheesy to me (I have one) and not like a B Rizzini.
I've described them in a couple of other posts. They are flat sided, one piece I-Beam-ish looking and not as pretty as B guns and other Italian or Japanese O/Us, IMHO.
They hide them pretty well in the pictures they provide on their website and GI. Anyway, heck, they may be better than the usual concave rib. I know little of how the mid ribs are attached on any O/U, except they are soldered at the muzzle and monoblocked at the breach end.

28 Gauge Shooter, your point of impact results don't read well for me. I must admit, I haven't put my wonderful Inverness on the pattern board yet. I guess I may be disappointed.

Eightbore,

My RBL pretty much shoots flat, right where your looking. Just a minor difference between the barrels. Have not shot the Inverness as of yet.

I did run some 1oz loads through my RBL at a splatter turkey target at about 35 yards or so IM and full. Both shots on target were center and would kill Turkeys, but I was not happy with density.

I'll keep you posted on my results with the Inverness. Would like to hear about your results.
