Has anyone used Flex-Hones to open chokes?

Might work but it would take forever.

Chrome bores?
What gauge?

A flex hone might take one thousands of a inch off if you use it for a long time. To correctly alter a choke you need a piloted reamer. Better yet pay MikeO to do it for you.

Not for me. I followed your advice and, as if by magic, started hitting clays with a regularity that has me (and my friends) astounded.

The gun being considered is a friend’s 12 bore Merkel (GDR vintage) that has full and extra full chokes.

Why would you want to do that? - to get the chokes that best suit the game your shooting.
