my current flame is a w&c scott 20 ga premier sidelock gun, made circa 1890...

i would like to view its innards, but am afraid to take it apart...

does anyone have internal images to post here?

Interesting, I just bought it's much bigger brother, a Premier in 10 gauge at the Baltimore show. I found the Scott book on ebay so I have some reading to do. Neat guns with lots of engraving, and the crystal indicators are kind of cool. Mine was made in 1881 according to the list here.

Well done! Some of those Premier's are as fine as Purdy/Holland/Boss. Boothroyd even asserted that W&C Scott even made some white label guns....or even parts...for H&H.

They were truly England's Remington, in that they made some of their own find guns, and they were probably the biggest supplier to 'the trade.'

I think h&h had a factory up and going around 1892 so a lot of there guns were wc Scott I have a 1892 montecarlo sidelock and it is a very good gun with really good engraving
