I have acquired several butt plates and there are a couple that I would like to know what they were on, or what gun they are for.

The one pictured below, marked “MG”, near the toe is one of them.

It measures 5 inches heel to toe, is 1 9/16 inches wide and the mounting holes are 2 9/16 inches apart. The butt plate is slightly curved.

Looks like an M and I'm pretty sure it is not a Marlin butt plate so I'll guess that leaves Morrone.

Not Marlin, but pretty darn nice and I would build a gun just to put it to use.

N C ORDNANCE Inc. offers what appears to be the same butt plate as a Merkel butt plate.
