Is there a trick or anything special to removing side locks from a Purdey self-opener?
Thanks
Make sure they are cocked, gently tap the action on a bench or with a raw hide hammer and they should drop out.
If you do not like hammering and banging on the bench , screw the through bolt into the R/H lockplate and pull the plate out , then push the left lock out from the right side with a thin screw driver.
