To All Learned Brothers: I have been offered a G&H M70 Featherweight[pre-64]Sporter at an attractive price. Question... I don't recall ever seeing [and I've seen quite a few!] any G&H Sporters marked with their [G&H's] address and their number on a factory barrel still retaining the rollmarked Winchester name and info as well as the Featherweight model. What say you? Thanks in Advance Jerry

I've seen a couple, what is the barrel number? My G&H database has around 800 rifles in it now. A rifle this late you need to write Bob at G&H and get a letter.

That's the Winchester serial number. Michael is asking about the Griffin and Howe number with the G&H address on the barrel-- probably in the 2,000s.

The G&H number is 2378 I suggest that you get a letter from G&H if you have any doubts.
