When these are gone, I don't know what you are going to do to get this information. They won't be reprinted and putting the magazine articles together would be impossibile. I have mine, now you be sure to get yours.

Darn. I've completely read Volume II and I realize just how much more information Michael had to offer that will never make it to a book. Even worse all of a sudden I feel I need a .400 Whelen. Now just what I would do with such a howitzer I don't know. It's a bit big for Louisiana deer and nutria rats but it's such an interesting story it just seems I need one. I'm certain Mr. Petrov would understand.

My copy of #2 and the second set, for a gift, arrived today. Thanks Joe. Now its time to pour a little Dickels over ice and start reading! Just a quick look through warns me my mind needs to become a sponge.

I purchased volume 2 at Great Northern Guns this weekend. They had a very nice Model 99 in 300 Savage there. I spent my money on my wife's surgery so I hope somebody who likes using guns buys it and uses it.

Are these books still available for sale? I know this is an old post. Trying to do some research on a possible Fred Adolph rifle i inherited.

I'm almost 100% certain they are out of print and no further editions are in the works. There were a couple being sold here in the proper For Sale forum within the last couple months for a very reasonable price of around $50.00 per ea. in new condition. That was a bit less than I paid for my copies frown

This guy who was selling in the proper For Sale forum had a few new copies of vol. II for only $50.00

Used copies can usually found from online booksellers or on Ebay. Here's several available:

I’m the one who has copies of Custom Gunmakers of the 20th Century, Volume 2. They are $50, shipping to the continental US included. I’m currently in Tanzania until November but I could have my wife send one out, if anyone is interested. Just email me at flygas@me.com
