Just curious to see if anyone else saw the listing for an Al Linden Springfield on Gunbroker. Listing number is 875425154, Springfield 03 in 35 Whelen, Niedner Barrel, Al Linden Stock and Lyman Alaskan scope. Rifle looked well used to me.

I would not bet on it. The fleur's are uneven and the cheek piece is amateurish in execution.

I had the same thoughts. The workmanship in the stock did not look well done. It may match the Linden pattern sheets, but others could do that. I do remember from reading Linden's books that he had a drawing of his first stock which he claimed was not his worst. This one dates to 1941 supposedly. When did Linden get into stockmaking? I'm not interested in buying this, just threw it up to get opinions, I've never had the privilege of seeing a Linden stock in person. I also seemed to remember a comment by O'Connor in which he stated Linden's checkering was not the greatest.
