How common are they? I've seen very few and wonder if they were used less in Germany than in Britian.

The talented mechanics on the Continent only used Chopper Lump tubesets on the very Best of the Best, so the Belgians and German mechanics used them much less than those mechanics on the Little British Isles. Sauer for example, would only use Chopper Lump tubeset on the Pinnacle of Perfektion of their offerings like on their >>Meisterwerk<<.

The Bulk of Scherpings offerings were or approached Best Guns, all with select, individual flair.

Raimey, Thanks much for the information and the pictures. My new rifle is nice, but this Scherping is something else altogether.
