Dear Dogfox', As I said "Rumor"...When I receive a Phone Call from Mr Persons Unknown'(Who seems to have "Good Gen" about this particulr Firearm")and the following conversation leads me to belive he had watched me handling the "Fox" at the 1st Julia Auction or the 2nd....His Questions were purely about the money that would have to be spent to "Restore/Restock" "A Very Rare and Important American Custom made Shotgun"(He didnt sound like he was a "Foxer" as he brought up the Value/ Cost of Repairs/ and if it was repaired could it be sold as all Original and not be 'Detected" by a Punter with a lot of the "Readies" Draw your own conclusions as to what he had/ has in mind......cc

I have always been of the opinion, at least a suspicion, that the buttstock on #35 is a replacement. #35 is still going to be quite a gun even if the stock has been damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced. #35 is the gun on the bottom of both of DT's pictures. Which gun is in the picture of the stock in progress? Not #35, I assume. DT, missed you at the Vintagers. Murphy
