Anyone who has the slightest interest in guns with forged steel barrels ought to see this 25 minute movie. PeteM's website is an easy find with Google.
This movie for me was "closure." I have long been constructing forged steel barrels in my mind's eye based on what I had read, and I've read a lot. But seeing it in real life with forging hammers in motion, is the confirmation and summation of all one needs to know to understand the manufacturing process that goes to the very root of what makes Damascus-type barrels so appealing.
