I'm looking for any info I can find on a Goro 521 side by side .20 ga. shotgun. It's a boxlock, and barrels also have a rollstamp that reads, "World Wide Distributors Seattle, Wa." Looks like a fairly well built shotgun, but it's missing buttstock and forearm. I'd like to find something, or I'll end up building a set myself. Thanks

"Goro" = Gorosabel? Gonna take some work and/or $$ to haul that one away from the grave....missing forend iron often is the "Achilles' heel" of such projects--been there!
Good luck with it; someone more experienced than I will chime in on details of gun and feasibility of revival. But I know the deal--some of us just HATE to let gun to to the parts merchants!

Vall, I have the same gun in 12 ga, 3" chamber It has 28" barrels, I/C & M chokes. Mine is about 90% condition, a few marks on the wood, bring it down. The stocks are stained very dark with very little grain showing. Beavertail forearm, pistol grip stock with decent dimensions, 14 & 3/8ths" to front trigger 1.5" DAC, 2&3/8ths" DAH. The gun swings nice, and has never malfuntioned. It probably has had about 40 rounds through it since I have had it. I use it when it is bitter cold, as the swing swivels allow me to keep my hands in a muff until the dogs go on point. I personally would think twice about restocking yours. I am clearing out my safes, and had this one listed on Gunbroker with a 275.00 starting price and didn't get a bid. They were made by Pedro Gorosable. The date code on mine is 01= 1970.

Vall,
I have a "Goro" 10 ga distributed by "World Wide Distributers" Seattle. I probably picked the gun up around 1971. As was mentioned previously, they were built by Gorosable.
I shot the heck out of mine during the pre-steel days, never had a problem, but there isn't much value associated with the gun. I guess, only you can determine whether it should be restocked or not. For resale value, probably not worth the effort!

Thanks for the info! I do have all the hardware and screws to mount wood. Nothing but the wood missing, and since it was a gift from a gunsmith friend I'm not into it any money. I can spend some time and money restocking, and that will be my only outlay of funds. Think I'll take the route mc mentioned and just make a pattern from donor wood and bondo, then have it duplicated. Thanks for the help!-Vall

Vall, I think they are good guns, although not as well known as Aya, or some of the other Spanish makers, but certainly capable of making every bit as good a gun. Here's a pic of one of his "Best Guns" that I own, and it is called a "Gold Sable", So, carry on, and I think you will wind up with a nice gun. You might get a little more help on this forum, which deals exclusively with Spanish sxs's. http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewforum.php?f=126&sid=3f835af65641384d0f7b238146645d3ebinko

Thanks binko, and all! I started building up a pattern for this gun today. I'll get all the pieces of fir glued together and bondo'd in, and then send it off to my stock duplicator so he can cut it out. I think this seems to be my only option, as I doubt if I'll ever run across a set of orphan stocks for it! I'm actually planning on building up a second set of barrels in .32-20, to make a mini double rifle out of this action.-Vall

Any particular reason why you would choose .32-20?
