Occasionally I get a very light trigger pull on the first shot with my superposed. I may shoot a hundred times before it happens again. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?

loose piece of crud getting stuck in the mechanism once in a while?
when was the last time the action internals were cleaned and lubed?

I agree, clean and lube. Superposeds, the action being attached to the stock by a through-bolt, are very easy to disassemble. Remove buttplate, remove trigger guard, unscrew through-bolt, voila, remove buttstock.

Try Midwest Gunworks. They are your best bet for superposed trigger work. BTW, and all othre "posed" work.

I used to seperate my action from the wood and boil it out with soap and water in a sauce pan. Then to cool it I held the boiling pan under the hot water tap in the sink until it cooled enough to touch but was still hot enough to evaporate the water. I then shot it with WD40 to chase any water, wiped out as much WD as possible and then oiled the action. DO NOT use teflon bearing oil on the sears or notches. Instant doubling. I keep a midas shooting about 15000 rounds per year going for 20 years doing this.
