If you ordered 16ga 32" VR, btfe, sg, and sst your grandkids would be very thankful for inhereting veeeery rare gun. That's if they are going to be able to own guns in the first place.

16 comes with 29" tubes and fixed chokes. They say they will open them, nothing about screw in chokes.
I'd consider a 12 RBL, but a friend related to me an absolute horror story regarding a new CSM model 21 he purchased. He won't be back. Neither will I. Sometimes, a company doesn't get even a single chance with a new customer, if that customer talks to a former customer.
Best, Ted

I plan to order one soon. 32",beaver tail, pistol grip, double triggers and solid rib. I've been looking for a 3" steel shot compatible gun in this configuration for some time that was some what reasonable in price. At 8lbs or a little more it suites me fine. I think the 32" is going to be very popular in this gauge. I would possibly consider the ventilated rib but would like to see it first.

I ordered a RBL-12 a month ago with 32", BTFE, PG, DT, but I'm waiting to see a photo of the $450 vent rib!

Has anyone asked CSM what is their reasoning for no choke tubes in the 16 gauge? I'm interested in one also, but buying a new gun and not having the option of being able to change chokes seems odd. Also want to see the vent rib. Why no pics? JW

Looking at purchasing a 12 bore, 30" bbls, splinter FE, two triggers and assisted opening. I'm glad you told us the delivery times. I hope the economy doesn't affect CSMC too much.

Does anyone know the cut off date for orders? I'm thinking 12, 30" PG, BT, VR, SST with upgraded wood but would like to get through my 12/31 and 1/15 tax deadlines.

JW Mr. 12brd- I haven't asked CSMC what their thinking is for no choke tubes in the 16, but my own feeling is that in a double there is not much reason for changing chokes around (while fixed chokes should hopefully allow slightly more sleek and good-handling barrels). I think that with one barrel bored sort of open and one bored sort of not open, pretty much all the bases are covered.
