That's a gorgeous restoration. It's nice to see a piece like that saved from just becoming spare parts. Surprisingly, no one asked who did the case colors... so I will.

Walt, Sir, beautiful job on the restoration. I still take my 4E NID regularly to the field and it did great in S. Dakota this year. Congrats.. Its a beauty.

Aren't there some ejectors out there in a parts bin that could be fitted to your gun?

It is not a matter of just finding a pair of ejectors. NID ejectors run on seperated shafts either side of the centerline of the barrels, not a split single shaft down the middle.

You bring up a very good point. Any of my guns that required modification of any sort are documented. I am trying to avoid creating a puzzle for anyone in the future.
