We have an old phart group who shoot practice trap on Thursday's at Noon all year round. I'm having my BT-99's stock upgraded with a Bumpbuster as I am having shoulder problems due to aging. Anyhow, I took out my 30" Daly SXS and discovered that it works fine on trap as I almost did as good as usual (perhaps 20). The main thing is that I was shooting full trap loads with no cheek slap or shoulder dings. It makes a nice backup, although I got a few snide remarks before I started.

Are there any clubs that have SXS trap shoots in the Atlantic area?

Hal Hare from here in Ohio has them ocassionally. My club here in Middletown, Ohio started them this past summer with great success. I believe Hal has mostly SXS skeet shoots. Our club had one last year where you shot all three, skeet, trap and sporting clays with great success. If I here anything more this summer I will announce it. Nice to hear from you. Good luck.

I have a Charles Daly model 500.It is a great gun. I've used it for trap shooting, waterfowl hunting in the days before steel shot, and for pheasants and upland game birds for many years.
