I am looking for recommendations for a sxs goose gun. Can't spend more than $2000. Should have 3" chambers, at least 30" barrels, would prefer double triggers, and will probably shoot bismuth in it so could be an older gun. This gun will be used in a blind so weight not a factor. What about a Winchester Model 23? Miroku Charles Daly? Would love to have a model 21 but too rich for me. Thanks for your thoughts.

Where are you going to find Bismuth? My supply is dwindling and I have been lead to believe that it is not being made at this time.

I've seen Cabela's advertise it but maybe it is now out of stock. Did not realize it was being phased out. It is still on the Cabela site for sale is that's a help.

Do you want a std. 12- a 12 3" magnum or a 10 gqauge-either the std. or the 3 and 1/2" "shoulder buster"- I'd check out Destry H- Market Hunter- he uses big 'uns for ducks and geese and "takes no prisoners"- or "Mossenburghers" either!! RWTF

ritme, The older Beretta 10ga would be a thought. I have one with 32" barrels and double triggers. There is a modified one on GunBroker with 28" barrels because of being shortened. You at least can see what one looks like. Best, Ron

Browning BSS if you can find one with 30" barrels. They are out there, but scarce in that length. ST only.

There's a company loading bismuth again, that's what you're seeing on the Cabela's site. It's expensive but at least it's available again. They aren't selling loose shot for reloading, just loaded shells so far.
