I was wondering if these rings and baes are Stith dovetail, or and early version of Talley's. Thanks for any help and information in advance.

My late Father's M54 SuperGrade in .220 Swift- 26" stainless barrel originally had a Stith 12X scope on it when he gave it to me. Now it wears a Leupold in Buehler mounts- and has been modifed (by me)to a closer copy of the way far better M70- Buehler safety conversion, Timney Trigger, modified bolt release and Blackburn metal forged floor plate- no need for a drop hinged magazine as on the M70-as it is basically a "single shot" BA rifle. Mr. Linden I have admired your work for years, the late Jack O'Connor sure praised you highly, ditto Jerry Fischer- I am a former Military NCO Armorer (parts changer) and that makes me a gunsmith like you like a VW is like a Porsche because they are both built in Wolfsburgh and have air cooled engines- Would like to see some of your work in this website-Thanks

This was a rifle sold by Lewis Drake and was the cover photo when "Brother Alvin" was the subject of a very informative article by our site brethren Michael Petrov for Precision Shooting.[ed. comment] P.S. should have more of Michael's articles!!! The funny thing about this rifle is, it sat at Drake's for well over a year or maybe two, I suspect because the ad [to see all the larger photos go to... Lewis Drake.com category: rifles] while extolling THE BEAUTY of the ORIGINAL CONDITION of the rifle ignored the 10,000 lb. gorilla in the room! It was chambered in 358 Win. a caliber that did not exist in 1945 at the time of Alvin's death. So whomever purchased this beautiful rifle, they did not get an all original Alvin Linden rifle. Hope you find this interesting! Warmest Regards Jerry aka Alvin Linden #1
