Maybe I missed seeing it so I'll ask. Does anyone know who is making the Smith & Wesson Shotguns now being offered with a two generation Warrenty. I happen to see the S & W ad in the "Notes From The Field" column and scrolled down to find it.No mention of maker but I'm assuming (never assume) that it isn't S & W. But it takes courage to guarentee anything for the lifetime of the buyer and an designated heir. Anybody know???
Best Regards

Distel,
S&W built their own factory in Eastern Europe to build these guns.

While we're on the subject of S&W doubles a question: I never see these guns mentioned or recommended here. Do they have a poor reputation?

One of the St. Louis gunshops has displayed the same new S%W 20 gauge SxS for over a year. Perhaps they are not selling many?

The 3 examples I have seen and shot extensively have been quite good. And surprisingly, the insides are as good as the outsides; that can't be said about all Turkish guns.

Best,

I agree, It's not an RBL but it's pretty good.

If Russia attacked Turkey from the rear, would Greece help?

I'd agree with Clair . . . other than the fact that the first one I shot, with a ST, had a trigger pull of about 10#. Since then, I've shot one with DT on which the heavy pull issue was solved. Whether they'll sell at that price point--well above comparable Uggies, not far below an AyA 4/53--remains to be seen. I don't think they're selling well yet. But a lot of Americans have come to the conclusion that Turkish shotguns in the under $1,000 range are pretty decent guns for the money. It will likely take longer, if we get there at all, before we warm to Turkish guns in the $2,000+ range.
