Has anyone here any experience with Collectibles Insurance Services, Llc? They seem to have better rates than most ( c 50 cents/$100) and aren't afraid of relatively high-priced guns. NRA and others have lower limits and the rider on my home insurance is close to $1.50/$100. Thanks, Leo Bad typing of premium rates, now corrected.

I agree with Dave that Eastern is great and has very attractive rates. An added plus is their agent is a gun collector himself.

I used collectibles for years and had to drop them due to price. I went to the NRA after talking to their lady in St. Louis. Believe it or not she made me a deal that was well under Collectibles. I even called Collectibles and they cut their price some but could not match the NRA price. I don't know how I fit in but I insure 6 figures a year. I would strongly recommend talking to them especially the NRA. Don't accept the published rates!

We receive an alert anytime our company name or URL is mentioned online. I hope you don;t mind my jumping in to provide some additional information. I have been told our rates are very competitive. Here are some quotes to get an idea of cost (they may vary very slightly by state): $10,000 = $71 $25,000 = $165 $50,000 = $325 $75,000 = $475 $100,000 = $616 You can get a quote online at http://www.collectinsure.com (click on get estimate button) or you can call and talk to a representative (feel free to ask for me) at 888-837-9537. I use Sportsman's Insurance Agency, Inc. in Ormand Beach, FL. I have never filed a claim, so can't comment on their customer service. I understand their policy to cover just about any type of loss of firearm and related accessories such as scopes and binos, plus they cover any custom work, too.
The premium appears to be higher, though, at $1.25 per $100 of coverage. I wondering if I should switch . . . ?

I am not familiar with all the forms of insurance, but I am in the process of having my guns appraised for my carrier. I know with the rider I will obtain they will repair or replace the gun for any reason, even if I fall and break the wrist in the woods. This may be standard but if not it may be worth considering.

Many thabks, guys, for all your help. After some investigations, Eastern seem to have the best rates at $.35 per $100 of insured value. All is done at full appraised replacement cost. I didn't realize how much costs on some guns I could swear I bought in recent memory have gone up, but I'm told recoil does that to the old thinker!
