Welp, I have already picked out the next gun that I am going to buy- maybe next month. A Browning XS Skeet in 12 gauge. I really like the way the gun points. They fit me nicely. But what I like best is the way the forearm feels. I really like the way the gun mounts. Yep. That will probably be the next one. Any of you guys have one? Opinions?

I have the XS Skeet guns in a couple gauges. Great guns, no issues, have shot a lot of skeet with the 12 and 28 ga's.

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy...

A 12ga for skeet? How barbaric.

Before that you pop for the Skeet version, handle or preferably shoot an XS Sport in 20ga w/30" barrels.

The dynamics of that particular model are just superb. I've been shooting one for about four years now, and it's difficult to put down. Seriously... everyone who has shot it does very very well with it. I've run a couple hundreds at Skeet with it, and I finally managed my first 25 at Five Stand with that gun.

If you must have the Skeet version, so be it... they are excellent and very durable guns. Mine is well over 15,000 shells through it and it's still tight. Great product.

I have an XS Sporting in 28 (the only truly civilized gauge) and shoot it very well. It's one of my favorites. I let it play at both skeet and sporting clays but I never let it embarrass the trap shooters.

Two of my friends shoot XS Skeet models, and both are very pleased. They both have the adjustable comb version.

I guess a 28 would be OK for those fluffy SC courses and Skeet :/, but doubt too many are going to be embarrased at the 27 yard line.

Don't let them kid you Jimmy, the 12 gauge will always be the only "real" shotgun.

I want the twelve gauge because I have using very light loads when I shoot. The twenty gauge is OK but reloading twelve gauge loads are so much easier for me since I have two reloaders set up for it. Besides I like a twelve gauge for overall use better than the twenty. But thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

I also like the forearm on the XS Skeet. I like the groove that runs the length of the forearm. That is the one thing I like on the XS Skeet better than the Sporting model. And it really shoulders so nice. They really fit me well. I have shot a 20 gauge that belongs to a buddy of mine, but I like having the 12 gauge better. Thanks again.
