Your ANCESTORS may enjoy the gun if you are buried with it and you take it with you to the happy hunting ground. Better yet, leave it so that your DESCENDANTS can enjoy it.

How would you like to make that decision every time you go out to hunt/shoot, the Fox or the M21. No sir. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes!!

Hard decision? Let's see, this time the 21. Now this time the 21. Now this time the 21. And so it goes.

Don, since Olin owns the Winchester name, I haven't seen any guns that CSMC has made for a while under license from Olin marked Winchester.
By now the verdict is in on the Model 21's that CSMC makes and the Winchester name is not an issue.-Dick

The 21 will weigh just over 8 lbs and the Fox weighs 6.5, which one would you want to carry around in the grouse woods all day??

I hope to use it on some waterfowl though. I ended up selling all of my English/continental guns to have only a custom 2 bbl/gauge Fox for hunting and a custom 21 for clays/waterfowl. Due to my size, I needed a custom gun. I also kept a nice vintage hammergun to use occasionally as well to add some nostalgia when desired.

Any photos of the "slim BT FE"?

I would love to see that.

Also would be interesting to know the length of the BT FE.

As everyone knows (and I know first hand) Winchester had problems with the beavertail breaking ("chipping" might be a better word choice) , and made at least a couple of modifications to the design. Many of us have worked around this with various means, depending on the age of the gun.

It would be great to see the INSIDE of the BT and see what the Big Boys at CSMC currently are making.

Back to your gun; let's face it. it is wonderful.

Enjoy.

Finally received my 21 today and CSMC did a spectacular job on the gun. The pictures do not do it justice. The fit and finish is outstanding and near perfect like my Fox. The balance is just past the pin, just like I specified. I plan to shoot it tomorrow, but with snap caps they trigger and ejectors work perfectly.

Kevin, let's have some pictures. Will you be at the Southern to show it off and shoot it? I don't think I can wait for the Northeast Shoot to see it. I have a couple of 32" 21s that I am attached to. When I get one hooked up with a crossover stock, I'll challenge you to a friendly match.

Seems to me you have a lot of guns waiting for crossover stocks Bill. Did you buy the Sauer with the crossover I told you about back in January?
