Still considering attending the Southern SxS. I would love to go but it is a long drive. Definitely would like to shoot with you. I really like those 32" bbls, almost wish I had them on my Fox instead of the 30's.

Kevin,

Looks like the gun is made to take to the SxS shoots. Am sure you would enjoy the Southern. Also consider the UP Shoot (Michigan) in June. Great shoot with lots of fun folks.

Beautiful gun. Enjoy!

Dean, no, I didn't buy the Sauer, but I corresponded with the seller. I have a nice light bird gun, a factory crossover Cogswell and Harrison Avant Tout fully engraved sideplate ejector gun. I want guns with which I can compete in the American "brand" shoots like the Smith-Parker Challenge and the Bo Whoop. Regardless, the Sauer was a fine gun at a great price. I think it is in the hands of a dealer now, can't remember who. Thanks for thinking of me. By the way, I once had five strong flying preserve chukars on the ground at one time with the Coggie before the pup could retrieve the first one. Three or four of them were shot after my partner had emptied his gun. I've never done anything like that with another gun. I have respect for that gun after that day.

Shot about 150 rounds through it today and all works well. Ejectors were timed perfectly and barrel selector also worked perfectly. I even managed to break a few targets. So far so good.

I have a CSMC 20 bore Pigeon Grade that has been to Argentina and used exclusively for 5 days of shooting--dove, ducks. perdiz and pigeons......... it worked flawlessly then and in the years since then. A perfect all around shotgun. This one would be the last to go...............
