I've been killing trout (metaphorically) on the Bois Brule this week between rain storms here in extreme northwestern Wisconsin. Visited Big John at Pug's Gun Emporium in Duluth MN on Tuesday to dry out. It would take days to go through all the great guns. John says things are slow; I suppose that's the case everywhere.

Next stop, heading east to Park Falls to see about a 7-foot-six-inch four-weight at the St. Croix factory...and then on to Iron Mt. MI and the Sagola Twp Sportsmens Club's annual SxS "Yooper" shoot. This has to be the most user friendly of the doublegun tournaments, albeit the most inaccessible. Hope to see some of the usual suspects... EDM

You're killing me (metaphorically, of course). 'Retirement' is that 'carrot' ever dangling just beyond reach. I'm envious.

Brother and I only able to spend today at the UP shoot. Great day and probably a record for vendors and wares to fondle. Outstanding displays and vintage guns of all stripes. Competition starts tomorrow. Safe and enjoyable weekend to all involved and hats off to the sponsors of such a great event. 500 miles today but well worth the trip. Randy
