Attention: Fox shooters who would like to compete in our Third Annual “Ansley H. Fox Championship” while at the Vintage Cup this year.

The 2010 Vintage Cup will be held at Pintail Point, Queenstown, MD from September 23-26. The Vintagers will be running its American Classic event on Friday and Saturday, and the A.H. Fox Collectors Association Inc. will offer our Ansley H. Fox Championship as a “Concurrent” with the American Classic venue. Please check the Vintagers website at http://www.vintagers.org/ for full details.

This competition is open to anyone who plans to shoot a Fox-designed shotgun (see below). You don't have to be a member of the A H Fox Collectors Association. AHFCA annual and life members will pay a $15.00 entry fee. Entry fee for non-members is $20.00. "Registered users” on the AHFCA Forums are non-members if they are not annual or life members.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THIS YEAR

1) The ANSLEY H FOX CHAMPION Trophy will be awarded to the first place score shot with a AH Fox shotgun.
2) Second place score (“Runner Up”) will receive our FE GRADE CHAMPION Trophy.
3) An article on both Trophy winners will be featured in the Fox Collectors Association Newsletter “The Finest Gun in the World”.
4) Two (2) LOONIE LEWIS winners will be named by a public draw from the six shooters achieving the THIRD through EIGHTH highest scores. First name drawn will receive a flat of RST Best Grade or Premium Grade shells (shooter’s choice – max value $105.00). Second name drawn will receive a Stanley “Weekend Warrior Tool Assortment” (value of $100.00). NOTE that Vintagers’ guidelines preclude the awarding of cash purses.

TO ENTER:

STEP 1 Fox gun shooters should register for the American Classic event with the Vintagers organization. Shooting for the Ansley H. Fox Championship may be done on Friday or Saturday, your choice. You may register at the Vintage Cup, but please note that preregistrants get free admission to the Vintage Cup. This can save you $20.00 per day! You may preregister by following the instructions on the 5th menu item (left side) of the Vintagers link. http://www.vintagers.org/

STEP 2 Participants must bring their blank shooting score card by our Fox table, before doing any shooting on the American Classic course. Each participant will pay their entry fee and agree to shoot with a Fox-designed gun on the American Classic course. The blank scorecard will be stamped with our official Fox Collectors stamp to verify the entry. Anyone shooting the course before paying the entry fee is ineligible to compete in the AHF Championship. Acceptable genuine Fox guns are 12-16-20 gauge Philadelphia or Savage-Utica manufacture, or 16-20-28-410 CSMC Fox. Philadelphia Arms Company guns are also acceptable. No Fox Model B’s or Model B clones.

STEP 3 After the contestant shoots the American Classic venue, they are asked to bring their score card back by the Fox Collectors table to have the score entered in our record. Winning scores - as confirmed by the Vintagers - will be awarded the Trophies and merchandise noted here earlier.

In the event of a tie or ties, the official places as determined by Pintail Point’s competition scoring software will be used to determine our winners.

Since scores will be recorded by Pintail Point station referees, all shooters including Fox officers are eligible to enter our Ansley H. Fox Championship event. Multiple entries in the A H Fox Championship are permitted since the Vintagers allow multiple entries in the American Classic. If a shooter enters the A H Fox Championship more than once, his/her best score will be used for the Trophies and the Loonie Lewis awards.

The Fox Directors in attendance at the Vintage Cup reserve the right to make field decisions on anything not specifically noted herein. Vintagers rules will be used insofar as possible.
