Well at long last my RBL has arrived. PIF 10/04/05
Straight 14 3/4 DT Grey Assisted Open Exhibition Claro

It looks pretty sweet, I've got a preserve hunt tomorrow so I'll have more pics with some birds then..

Very nice, thanks for posting the photos! The fit of wood to frame is very good on this gun and photos of others recently posted.

Someone recently wrote on another board of visiting CSMC to look at the RBL before ordering, and noting that the barrel engraving on current production guns is different from that on the prototype advertised guns and early production guns received by customers who asked for it. These photos confirm that poster's observation.

He personally didn't like the current barrel engraving and asked that it not be done on his gun. I'm not sure yet if I'd like it better without.

Interesting. Mine is a very low 200's gun delivered about 6 weeks ago. My barrel engraving is EXACTLY as shown in the original brochure. This one seems to be the same engraving but it's set forward about 1/4" or so with a blank area behind it.

OK, here is another difference in the guns. Yours has the serial number under the top lever. Mine is marked on the water table and not under the lever. I will have to dig it out later and compare more closely.

Interesting...

Excellent photos, but the wife may get after you for any oil/grease on the carpet...
Nice gun by the way.

Sure about that? Mine is marked in both places (again, very low 200's) but much smaller than Glocksig's under the lever. Easy to miss if you don't look closely.

forend iron,(wood removed) ;>)

I am sure. Checked. Mine is an early 2 digit gun and it isn't there. Does have the number on the forend lug on the barrels but not on the forend that I can find.

Nice gun GlockSig. The engraving looks like it might be some type of lazer etching? How deep does the engraving go into the metal? Is it about as deep as roll engraving, or deeper?

Beautiful gun Glocksig!
Could you satisfy my curiosity about something that's bothered me since I first saw photos of an RBL? Could you put a tape around the wrist just behind the tang and give us a circumference reading?
It may just be the photos, but they all look like a fat wrist to me.
Thanks
Pete
